Creating an Italian Micro Mosaic Pendant - Wednesday, April 2 - with Rachel, Liz and Shawn
Back by popular demand but this time in the evening! Have you ever explored the art of mosaic? This class will give you a touch of this art form but in a “micro” way. Join Rachel Arntson, Shawn Wiski, and Liz Taras for this micro mosaic class and create a pendant that you will be proud to wear.
The glass you will use for this class all comes from Venice, Italy. You will learn many new terms such as millefiori, filati, stringers, nippers, and more. Explore how to cut glass, mix Apoxie Sculpt, and insert the glass into a silver-plated, 1.5 inch round bezel. Your end result will be a beautiful, colorful, designed pendant. The colors and types of glass available will depend on what was obtained on a trip to Venice, Italy in October.
Upon completion of the class, you will go home with a completed silver-plated pendant and 24-inch black cord. In addition, you will be provided with a handout containing a description and pictures of the various types of filati as well as a supply resource guide on where you can purchase these items in the US.
Join Rachel, Shawn, and Liz for 4 hours of learning, relaxation and fun!
